Greetings! My name is Buddy, and I just got home from a fantastic 4-day vacation in Las Vegas (also known as Sin City). I took quite a few photos while I was there, and had some interesting adventures with a group of my closest pals.
We departed for Las Vegas early Thursday morning. I don’t have any photos of that because I am so not a morning person, and I spent the entire trip sleeping.
After catching connecting flights in Calgary, Alberta and Victoria, BC I made it to Vegas at around 7pm local time. There is sure a lot to see and do in Las Vegas! We were staying at The Flamingo, which is an older hotel, but it’s got a beautiful pool, where we spent one afternoon lounging in the sun.
By the way, just move your mouse over the photos to see the captions.
We toured plenty of other hotels while we were in town. They sure pull out all the stops down there.
I spent plenty of time riding the double-decker bus, called The Deuce, which travels up and down the strip 24 hours a day. It was a cheap and handy way to get around.
Las Vegas is loaded with great restaurants. One afternoon we had lunch at the Nascar Cafe in the Sahara Hotel. I think the waitress there had a crush on me. I did a little gambling, but I didn’t win anything. I did get a photo taken with a real nascar however.
We also spent an evening at Margaritaville, where I made some new friends! The food was excellent, as were the ruby margaritas.
Even though we were hurting a little the last day, we managed to get out for a bit and do a last afternoon of sight seeing.
We stopped by M&M World, and the guys and I posed for a photo. It was a really cool store. We also picked up some postcards, and in the evening we watched the water show at the Bellagio. It was so beautiful. I recorded the whole thing on my camera, so that I could share it here.
I got home late last night, and I’ve spent most of today uploading photos and working on this blog post. I hope you’ve enjoyed the highlights of my vacation. I’m not sure where I will go next, but I hope it’s not too long before my next adventure!
